Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently asked questions about how to get started with your writing project.

Do you require that clients make a long term commitment?

No, I do not require that clients make a long-term commitment when it comes to collaborating on content. Although, I strive to build valuable long-term relationships with all of my clients. I'm happy to work with you on a single, standalone project or on an "as needed" basis.

I understand that some companies may be hesitant about working with new writers. For new clients, writing projects are set up on a case-by-case basis so that we can see how well we work together. I'll provide a written quote for each project, and a writer agreement is signed by both parties for each project. Once it's determined that the client and I are a good fit, writer agreements can be set up for recurring work and longer lengths of time.

What do you need from a client to get started?

Once the client approves the quote, a written agreement outlining the scope of the work is signed by both parties. The written agreement can be provided by myself or by the client.

A 50% payment up front is required for the first project with a new client and some large projects. Once the agreement has been signed by both parties and the 50% down payment has been received, I will start working on the project.

A down payment and payment schedule can be arranged for large projects such as white papers and e-books.

For recurring work such as weekly blog posts, a 50% payment up front is required for the first month with 50% to be invoiced upon completion of work for the first month. Full payment is due at the end of each subsequent month for all blog posts submitted during the month.
